Women in Leadership at Heartwood Learning Trust
We are proud to offer the Women in Leadership Programme; a unique career development opportunity that is all about uncovering, celebrating, and nurturing your power as a female leader. This programme will support you to unleash your brilliance as well as navigate the challenges and gender biases that often hinder female professionals in the workplace.
The programme will:
- Support you to be brave
- Encourage healthy self-reflection to inform personal development
- Help to remove barriers and smash through the glass ceiling
- Build a new network of professionals
This programme is aimed at current and aspiring leaders, at any stage of their career, and brings together like-minded colleagues in a safe and non-judgemental environment, offering tools to develop leadership skills and strategies that can support them in developing their career and overcoming societal or personal barriers.
Topics include:
Exploring comfort zones; engaging with research and statistics related to women in work; overcoming individual and group barriers; leading with vulnerability; leadership job application workshop; hearing from leaders about their leadership journeys; exploring leadership values and principles; personal reflection time; and more.
A range of facilitators will lead the programme bringing a wealth of knowledge and different views to this leadership programme. The course will consist of three days delivered over three terms and is open to teaching and support staff across the Trust.
The venue of the course will be determined by the location of the cohorts.
Following on from the success of our 2025 Women in Leadership programme we are pleased to open up expressions of interest for the 2026 cohort.
This is a free course and we ask that you seek the support of your Principal before submitting your expression of interest.
